The Every Day Curl

Life isn’t perfect, but your hair can be.

Happy Monday, everyone! Does anyone else struggle with getting out of bed in the morning? Sometimes I push that snooze button just one too many times, and I end up having less time than originally planned to get ready and out the door! When I have days like this, I know it’s going to be a “hair curl” day. I have a method to curling my hair that is super quick, and it always looks like I spent much more time on it than I actually did. That way I can make up for all that snoozing in the morning! Today, I’m going to show you how to master The Every Day Curl. Here we go!

1-Start with dry hair. I always use a little dry shampoo (this one is my go to) on my roots to help add volume and cover the fact that I haven’t washed my hair in a couple days!

2-Use your straightener VERTICALLY to create curls. I separate my hair into 2-3 inch sections and bend my straightener away from my face to curl it. Here is a link to my straightener, which I love. Also, I leave an inch or two at the bottom of my hair uncurled. This gives the curls a more laid back, breezy look.

3-Work your way from the front of your head to the back. I don’t separate my hair into layers when I’m trying to be quick, but if I have more time to get ready then sometimes I will do a bottom layer of curls and a top layer of curls.

4-Brush out the curls! I use a brush to give mine a soft look, but you could also use your fingers if you want a more tousled look.

5-Set with hairspray. I am using this hairspray right now, but I also love this brand.

That’s it! You’re done! The whole process takes less than 10 minutes, and you have a clean, polished hair do that will last all day. I wear my curls for 2 or 3 days, and I just touch up the areas that need a little help the next day. This has helped me save SO much time in the mornings! I hope it helps you too!
